Prepare the Site for an Efficient Installation
A practical guide to the venue, utilities, access, unloading, labour and documentation that should be coordinated before playground equipment arrives on site.

For venue owners, project managers, contractors and local installation teams preparing the building and delivery arrangements before equipment arrival.
What to Confirm Before Equipment Arrives
- Confirming the installation area
- Floor and wall conditions
- Power and lighting preparation
- Site access
- Storage and unloading area
- Tools and lifting conditions
- Local labour coordination
- Installation schedule
- Document preparation
Coordinate the Site Before Installation Begins
Final site preparation requirements depend on the equipment configuration, venue conditions and agreed installation scope. Responsibilities, equipment and local support should therefore be confirmed against the contract and project documents.
Confirming the Installation Area
Check the latest approved layout against the actual installation area, including finished dimensions, clear height, columns, overhead services and fixed obstructions.
Floor and Wall Conditions
Confirm that floors, walls and adjacent construction work are sufficiently complete, level and accessible for setting-out and assembly. Any project-specific anchoring conditions should be reviewed separately.
Power and Lighting Preparation
Prepare the agreed electrical, lighting, network or control points required by the supplied equipment without assuming that every product uses the same services.
Site Access
Verify external and internal doors, corridors, lifts, stairs and turning space along the full route from the delivery point to the installation area.
Storage and Unloading Area
Provide suitable unloading access and a dry, secure staging area where packages can be identified, protected and opened in the required sequence.
Tools and Lifting Conditions
Confirm the tools, access equipment, lifting devices and site safety provisions required for the actual equipment and installation method, together with the party responsible for each item.
Local Labour Coordination
Agree the number and type of local workers, supervision arrangements, working hours, site rules and communication responsibilities included in the project scope.
Installation Schedule
Coordinate equipment arrival with building readiness, unloading, installation sequencing, inspections and other contractors working in or around the venue.
Document Preparation
Keep the latest approved layout, packing information, installation references, site contacts and relevant project documents available to the installation team.
Pre-Installation Readiness Checklist
Use this checklist to review the venue, access, utilities, unloading, local support and documents before equipment arrival. Contractual responsibilities remain subject to the agreed project scope.

Installation Readiness Review
- Verify the actual site against the latest approved layout
- Photograph the completed installation area and access route
- Confirm unloading, storage, tools and lifting arrangements
- Review utilities and technical preparation for the supplied equipment
- Agree the schedule, local support and responsibilities against the project scope
